About the Auditor and Recorder
The Marshall County Auditor & Recorder's Office serves the public by managing county finances, elections, official records, payroll, property records, and many other essential county services.
History of Combining the Auditor and Recorder's Office
Marshall County voters approved the combined Auditor & Recorder position in the November 2008 election. Because the Recorder's term continued through December 31, 2010, the new combined office officially took effect in January 2011. At that time, the current Auditor was appointed to serve as Auditor & Recorder and later stood for election to the combined position in November 2012.
